Yang Yong
b. 1975Yang Yong was born in Sichuan in 1975, and is one of the most prominent representatives of a new generation of artists in China born in the 1970's. Yang Yong is a pioneer of the South China counterculture, and his photographs capture the tension between the new superficial glamour and materialism of urban life today and the pre-industrial environment of China's Communist past.
