Wucius Wong

Wucius Wong was born in Guangdong Province in 1936 but soon moved to Hong Kong, where he has spent much of his life. Wong's artistic training included study with the innovative painter Lu Shou-kun in Hong Kong, followed by four years of post-graduate study in the United States. Wong's paintings are meticulous renderings of fantastical landscapes, whose details are natural in appearance but surreal in their overall effect. He is the author of numerous books, including several important titles on the principles of design. After many years of living in the New York metropolitan area, Wucius Wong once again resides in Hong Kong.
