Ma Yanhong

Ma Yanhong was born in 1977 in Shanxi Province, China and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, in 2002. Since then, working under two of the most famous oil painters of the modern movement in China, Yu Hong and Liu Xiaodong, she has developed a fresh and original pictorial vision which is centered on the growing self-awareness of her circle of female friends in the frenetic and free environment of modern China.
