Li Rui

Born in 1984 and a recent graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Li Rui's work is part of the next generation of Chinese realist painters. Introduced to Goedhuis Contemporary in 2007, his work will be the subject of our upcoming September exhibition which will focus on his series 'Nests', an artistic investigation into the archaeological roots of China's past and its relevance as a metaphor for today's current quest for cultural roots.
